In-fo-may-shun
Instead of the standard "fireman" or "doctor", I wanted to be Tarzan when I grew up. As a child one of my favorite props was a bath towel to pin around my neck and pretend to be Superman, running around the yard with my fist out in front and making wind noises. I had an admirable "whooosssshh!". Super powers all being well and good, I still prefer a walk in the woods or climbing a tree over stopping runaway trains any day.
Art began at an early age, and not always on acceptable media. Walls, appliances, and the telephone book were not popular choices. One of my favorite drawings was a picture of a Coca Cola, a burger, and fries done on scrap paper with a piece of charcoal from the fireplace. I'm sure it was saved but I can't find that drawing to save my neck. While drawing has been at random over the years, I have only recently attempted to further my pursuit of traditional art and discovered the joy of digital art. At about age 12 I got my first camera. A Kodak Instamatic 110, and I must have taken a picture of every bicycle, car, bird, bug, and dog that ever walked within eyesight of our house. I still love to take pictures and I'm never without my camera.
The photographs displayed here were taken using a Vivitar 35mm and various digital cameras, with some post editing on various ones using Photoshop. Digital art was created as original using programs such as Corel Painter 7 and 8, ArtRage, Photoshop, and Pixia. Traditional artworks are originals in pencil and charcoal, oil paint, watercolors, and acrylics. Prints and larger, higher resolution digital files are available. Please feel free to contact me in regards to anything of interest you see here, as well as to request an original for commission.
Well, it's not everything, but it's a start. As this web site grows, evolves, and gathers imagery I hope that you are not disappointed. For now, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy what you see.
Peace,
Ken
